Rockhouse is a hard hike in the Domeland Wilderness, part of the Kern River Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest in California. The trail is about 24 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 1,597 feet, and it runs from a low point of about 5,605 feet to a high of about 6,717 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is natural-surface, not accessible, and allows horses but not bikes. The route is an out-and-back. The climb is a steady one, and the trail's wilderness setting makes it a destination for those prepared for a long day on foot. Dark Canyon lies just 0.4 miles away, and Bald Mountain and Woodpecker are both within about 3 miles. For an overnight base, Troy Meadow Campground is about 5.8 miles off.
