Ganns is a 2-mile out-and-back hike in the Calaveras Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest in California. The trail rises about 560 feet from a low point of 6,165 feet to a high of 6,749 feet, and it is rated easy. The route is on natural surface, and both horses and bikes are allowed. That makes it a flexible option for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 80°F with only about two wet days a month, while winter highs sit near 43°F with lows in the teens. Nearby, the Living Forest Nature Trail is about 2.7 miles away, and Big Meadow Campground and the Main Formation Upper Wall climbing area are each about 2.8 miles off. The North Fork Stanislaus River, a canoeing route, is about 3.8 miles away.
