Fish Creek is a hard hike of about 6.2 miles in the Golden Trout Wilderness, part of the Western Divide Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest in California. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a natural-surface out-and-back that climbs from about 5,892 feet to about 6,951 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Lodgepole weather station, about 32 miles away at a similar elevation, show July and August highs around 76°F with only about two wet days a month. Winter brings highs in the upper 30s and frequent snow days. The Fish Creek Trail lies about 0.3 miles away, and Lewis Camp is about 0.7 miles off. Grey Meadow is about 1.5 miles away, and the Hermit Spires climbing area is about 1.6 miles away.
