Buck Lake is a 2-mile out-and-back hike in California's Siskiyou Wilderness, within the Gasquet Ranger District of Six Rivers National Forest. The trail rises about 290 feet from a low point of 4,187 feet to a high of 4,388 feet, and it is rated easy. The route lies entirely inside designated wilderness, and the land is managed by the Forest Service. The trail is natural-surfaced, and the surrounding country is a cluster of nearby trails, with Doe Flat about 0.2 mile away and Island Lake about 0.6 mile away. Bear Basin Lookout and Cabin, a campground, is about 1.9 miles away, and the South Siskiyou Fork offers canoeing at a similar distance.
