Bear Gulch is a 5.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Trinity Alps Wilderness, part of the Big Bar Ranger District of Shasta-Trinity National Forest in northern California. The trail climbs from about 4,239 feet to 6,701 feet, a gain of 2,434 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is on natural surface. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The trail is open year-round, so it works for a visit in any season. The East Fork Lake Trail and East Fork Lake lie within about a mile and a half, and the East Weaver Creek Trail is a similar distance away. For an overnight stay, Ripstein Campground is about 2.9 miles off.
