Bear Creek is a 2.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Trinity Alps Wilderness, part of the Weaverville Ranger District of Shasta-Trinity National Forest in northern California. The trail climbs from about 4,219 feet to 5,446 feet, a gain of 1,196 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is on natural surface, with horses allowed. The hike is open year-round, and the surrounding wilderness makes it a destination for a full day in the backcountry. Alpine Scramble and Bear Creek Trail both lie within about a mile, and Alpine Lake is about 1.5 miles away. For an overnight base, Mary Smith Campground is roughly 3.7 miles off.
