Sand Flat is a Forest Service campground in the Summit Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest in California. The land is managed by the Forest Service, and the site has vault toilets. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Bridgeport weather station show July highs around 85°F with lows near 43°F, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and a few snowy days each month from December through February. Clark Fork Campground is about 0.3 miles away, and Arnot Creek is about 0.7 miles away. Paddlers can reach the Clark Fork about 1.9 miles off, and Eureka Valley campground is about 4.4 miles away.
