Eureka Valley Campground is a Forest Service site in the Summit Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest in California, about 31 miles from Bridgeport. It sits along the Stanislaus River, with 28 camping sites in total, including two double sites and four walk-in sites. The main road and parking pads are dirt-surfaced, and restrooms are vault toilets. Water comes from three wells with hand pumps, and a fee is charged for extra vehicle parking. Summer is the warmest stretch. Typical averages from the nearby Bridgeport weather station show July highs around 85°F with lows near 43°F, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and a few snowy days a month from December through February. A trail next to the host site leads to the river. Columns of the Giants, a climbing area, is about half a mile away, and Pigeon Flat campground is about 0.7 miles off. The Columns of the Giants Trail and the Seven Pines hike are both within a mile.
