Black Rock Campground is a Forest Service site in the Feather River Ranger District of Plumas National Forest in California, about 12 miles from the town of Strawberry Valley. It sits near a lake, and its 20 first-come walk-in tent sites offer picnic tables and fire rings. Vault toilets are among the campground amenities, and the lower parking lot gives RV campers a place to park. Summer is the driest stretch. Typical averages from the Strawberry Valley weather station, about 12 miles away, show July and August highs around 85°F with only about one wet day a month, while winter months bring highs near 50°F and rain on about 12 days. Fishing and water sports are the main draws around the lake. The Lakeshore Trail offers hiking and mountain biking.
