Ahart Campground is a Forest Service campground in the American River Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest in California. It sits among a cluster of group campgrounds, with Gates Group just 0.3 miles away and Coyote Group 0.7 miles off. Vault toilets are the only amenity at Ahart, and a fee is charged for stays. Summer is the warmest stretch, with typical July and August highs around 82°F and lows near 48°F at the Lake Spaulding weather station, about 17 miles away and roughly 140 feet lower in elevation. The Middle Fork American River, a canoeing route about 1.5 miles away, is the closest paddling. Hikers can take the Placer Queen Mine Trail, about 2.9 miles off, or the Tevis Cup Trail, about 3.2 miles away.
