Uphill Both Ways is an easy out-and-back hike in Arkansas, about a mile from Bella Vista. The route is roughly 4.3 miles long, with a total climb of about 700 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.6 miles in, where the grade reaches about 12 percent. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Gravette show October highs around 73°F with lows near 50°F, and April is similar at about 73°F by day and 49°F at night. July and August average highs in the low 90s. Several other hikes sit close by, including Lago Vista Gravity Trail and Bamboozled, each about 0.4 miles away, and Rendezvous at about 0.7 miles. For paddling, McKisic Creek is about 5.4 miles off.
