Up Hill Both Ways is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Arkansas, about 2 miles from the town of Bella Vista. The route is roughly 1.4 miles long, with a total elevation gain of about 64 feet, and it reaches a high point of 1,171 feet. The climb is gentle, with the steepest stretch at about 0.6 miles in, where the grade reaches about 9 percent. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bentonville show October highs around 71°F with lows near 46°F, and April highs around 69°F. Midsummer highs typically reach the upper 80s.
