Sycamore is a 2.75-mile out-and-back hike in the East Fork Wilderness, part of the Bayou Ranger District of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail lies within designated wilderness. The route rises from about 907 feet to 1,332 feet, with a total gain of 979 feet over the round trip. The steepest stretch comes at about 1.1 miles in, where the grade reaches 19%. The trail is natural-surface and not accessible, and bikes are not allowed. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 73°F and October highs around 68°F, while July and August average highs near 87°F. East Fork is about a mile away, and Deans Ridge is about 2 miles off. Overcup and Brock Creek Campground are both within about 5.6 miles.
