Redding Loop West is a 4.5-mile out-and-back hike in the Pleasant Hill Ranger District of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas, managed by the Forest Service. The trail starts and ends at about 1,480 feet, with a high point of 1,483 feet, and gains about 767 feet of elevation on the way out. The climb is steepest at the start, with a 17% grade around 0.2 miles in. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Ozark 2 run to highs around 71°F in April and 73°F in October, while July highs average about 92°F. That station sits roughly 650 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the loop run cooler. The trail is not accessible, and bikes and horses are not allowed. It is open year-round. Spy Rock Trail and the Spy Rock climbing area are both within about half a mile, and Redding Campground is about 1.9 miles away.
