Big Ben Trail is a short, easy loop in Village Creek State Park in Arkansas, managed by State Park and Recreation. The trail is about half a mile long, with a total elevation gain of 44 feet and a total loss of 117 feet, so it works well as a quick walk or a warm-up before heading to other parts of the park. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Wynne show October highs around 76°F with lows near 52°F, and April highs around 73°F. Summer is hot, with July highs averaging about 92°F. Several other trails sit close by. Lake Austell Trail and Lower Military Road Trail are each about half a mile away, and Beech Valley Trail North is about 0.9 miles off. Mountain bikers can ride the Bicycle Entrance Trail, about 0.6 miles away.
