Bear Point Trail is a moderate out-and-back hike of about 3.9 miles on natural surface in the Buffalo Ranger District of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas. The route starts at about 2,044 feet and reaches a high point of about 2,114 feet, with the steepest stretch of about 10% grade at roughly half a mile in. The trail is open year-round and is not accessible. Bikes are allowed, but horses are not. For comfortable weather, aim for spring or fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 67°F and lows near 48°F, and May highs around 72°F, while July and August average highs of about 85°F. Several other trails sit close by, including Highwater Bypass about half a mile away and Southern Slide Trail and Fire Tower Trail each about 0.7 miles off. Trail of the Ancients lies roughly a mile away.
