KP Mesa is a summit of 6,743 feet in the Alpine Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona, about 20 miles from the town of Alpine. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically May and September, when typical highs reach about 75°F and 79°F with lows near 30°F and 39°F, based on averages from a nearby weather station at a similar elevation. July and August bring the most wet days, around 14 and 15 a month. Several trails start close by, including Grant Creek about 2.7 miles away and Blue River at about 3.1 miles. For an overnight stay, Strayhorse Campground is about 5.6 miles off, and Kp Cienega Campground is about 7.7 miles away.
