Wall of the Trundling Trolls

Wall of the Trundling Trolls is a climbing area in Arizona's Pusch Ridge Wilderness, within the Santa Catalina Ranger District of Coronado National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, including the Wall of the Dancing Dwarfs and the Wall of the Marching Munchkins, each about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is a mix of trad and sport routes, with 36 trad routes and 9 sport routes among the 45 listed. The YDS grades run from 5.7 up to 5.12, with the median at 5.10. Some of the named routes include Sidebottom (5.7, trad), Sudden Death (5.10-, trad) and Slip Service (5.12, sport). For timing, the most comfortable months are typically May and September, when typical averages from the nearby Mt Lemmon Willow Canyon weather station run to highs around 71°F and 75°F. Winter is cold, with typical January highs near 50°F and lows around 34°F. Rose Canyon Lake, a mountain biking area, is about half a mile away, and Rose Canyon campground is about 0.9 mile off.
