It sits among several other climbing spots, with Windy Point West, Faded Rock and Hooligan's Hollow all about 0.1 mile away. The area has seven routes, with grades ranging from 5.9 to 5.12b. Three are mixed, three are sport and one is trad. Among the named routes are Red-tail at 5.9, Accipiter at 5.10- and Ad Hoc at 5.12b. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. That station sits about 580 feet below the area, so temperatures at Hawk Rock run a little cooler.
