Submarine (Steamboat) Rock is a climbing area in the Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness, part of the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona. The Forest Service manages the land. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Oak Creek Canyon show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 74°F, while July and August average about 90°F. Several climbing areas sit right next to it, including Lower Mt Wilson Wall, Acropolis, The and Octopus's Garden, each about 0.1 mile away. For mountain biking, the Jim Thompson trailhead is about 0.2 mile off.
