The Studio is a bouldering area in Phoenix South Mountain Park, on city land in Phoenix, Arizona. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Seven Samurai, Africa Boulder and The Amphitheatre all about 0.1 mile away. The area is managed by the city, and its boulders are the main draw. The climbing here is all bouldering, with eight routes spread across the V0 to V6 range. The easiest are Birth of Venus at V0-1 and Shit, Shower, and Shave at V0, while Caveman is the hardest at V6. The routes are listed with their grades, so climbers can pick a problem that suits their level. Winter and early spring are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in South Phoenix show January highs around 67°F and lows near 42°F, while summer highs climb into the 100s. That station sits about 660 feet lower than the park, so temperatures at the boulders run cooler. For a change from the rock, Young Man Trail is about 0.3 mile away and Mormon Loop Trail about 0.5 mile.
