Rattlesnake Pinnacles is a climbing area in the Douglas Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with The Boulder and Main Wall about 0.1 mile away and Westworld Dome and Paleface Slab each about 0.2 mile off. The area has three trad routes, all rated between 5.8+ and 5.10c. Shake, Rattle and Roll is the easiest at 5.8+, White Rhino is 5.9, and Snake skin boots is the hardest at 5.10c. All were first ascended by climbers including Christa and Will McConaughy, Aaron Davis and David Tellechea. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Sunsites, about 9 miles away, show April highs around 78°F and October highs around 80°F, while July and August average in the low 90s and bring the most wet days of the year. That station sits roughly 1,400 feet lower than the pinnacles, so temperatures at the crag run cooler.
