Creature Boulder is a bouldering area in the Douglas Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with The Wasteland Bouldering just 0.1 mile away and The Wasteland about 0.2 mile off. The Wasteland Approach Trail lies roughly half a mile away, and Half Moon Ranch campground is under a mile out. The area has five bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale from V2 to V7. Creature is the V2, and Creeper of the Deep is the V7. The median grade is V4, so the boulders here range from relatively easy to quite challenging. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Sunsites, about 8 miles away, show April highs near 78°F and October highs near 80°F, while July and August average highs in the low 90s. That station sits roughly 800 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock run cooler.
