Panther Peak is a bouldering area in Saguaro National Park in Arizona, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of other bouldering spots, with Beast Boulder, Split Boulder and Stella Stone all about 0.1 mile away. The area is a compact, close-together set of boulders rather than a single peak, and it works well as a short stop for climbers who want to try several problems in one visit. The climbing here is all bouldering, with 10 routes spread across the area. Grades run from V0- up to V3-4, so there is something for climbers of different abilities. Some of the named routes include Cobble Cauldron (V0-), Kuch Beta (V1) and Tucson Mountain Chaos (V3-4). Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Tucson show March highs around 75°F and October highs around 86°F, while June and July average near 100°F. A fee is charged for park use.
