The Kaibab Plateau is a climbing area in Arizona's Kaibab National Forest, within the North Kaibab Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits among a cluster of trails and campsites, making it a natural base for a longer trip into the region. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically June and September, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 73°F in June to about 67°F in September. Winter is cold, with January highs averaging about 36°F and lows near 18°F. The climbing here is modest in scale, with two routes listed. Lemon Raspberry Cookie is a trad route graded 5.6, and the area also has a boulder problem at the V1 level. Jacob Lake Group Campground & Picnic Site is about a mile away, and the Arizona Trail and Kai-Vav-Wi Nature Trail #34 are both within about a mile and a half. Trail Canyon, another climbing area, lies roughly 9 miles off.
