The Cuz Wall is a climbing area in Arizona's Munds Mountain Wilderness, within the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest. The land is managed by the Forest Service, and the name suggests the rock wall that anchors the climbing here. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona run to highs around 75°F in April and 79°F in October, while July averages near 97°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the wall, so temperatures up high run a little cooler. The climbing area holds five routes, four of them sport and one a trad route. All are rated in the 5.11 to 5.12+ range. Heavy Metal Saturday is the trad route at 5.11, and Punk Rock Breakfast and Pizza Party Friday are the sport routes at 5.11+ and 5.12+. Several other climbing areas lie within a short distance, including Marg's Draw and Lucy Spire at about 0.1 mile, and Camel's Head Area at 0.2 mile. For camping, Chavez Crossing is about 2 miles away.
