The Back Porch slabs and Jump Back Rock is a bouldering area in the Bradshaw Ranger District of Prescott National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Lieback Rock and The Wave Area each about 0.1 mile away, and Groom Creek Horse Camp about 0.2 mile off. The area is a bouldering destination, with 10 routes all rated V0 or V1 on the V scale. The Back Porch Slab is the easiest at V0-, and The Finale is the hardest at V1. The routes are all boulders, so there is no climbing on rock faces to plan for. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Prescott show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 73°F, while July and August average about 90°F. That station sits roughly 1,200 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures up here run cooler. Groom Creek Schoolhouse, a campground about 0.3 mile away, and the Horsecamp Loop hike are close by.
