Amateur Hour Crag is a climbing area in the Santa Catalina Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots and trails, so it works well as a stop in a day of exploring the surrounding crags and mountain biking routes. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 71°F and October highs around 77°F, while summer highs climb into the low 90s and winter lows drop to about 35°F. Several climbing areas lie within a short distance, including It Cliff and Weathertop, each about 0.2 miles away, and Choo Choo Rock at about 0.3 miles. For an overnight stay, Molino Basin Group campground is about 0.8 miles away.
