Saddle Trail is a 2.9-mile out-and-back mountain biking route in the Mesa Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona. It rises from about 1,777 feet to a high point of 1,795 feet, with a total elevation gain of 581 feet over the round trip, and the steepest section comes at about mile 1 with a grade of 12%. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at E Mesa show March highs around 77°F and October highs around 90°F, while summer highs climb into the mid-100s. The trail starts close to the Saddle hike, about 0.1 mile away, and the Hawes Trail is about 0.2 mile off. Red Mountain and Secret Trail, both hikes, are each about 0.6 mile away. For an overnight stay, Larry Forbis campground is about 6.6 miles away.
