High Ridge Trail is a mountain biking route in Arizona's Tonto National Forest, within the Mesa Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a hard ride of about 3.2 miles, with a total elevation gain and loss of 1,200 feet. The route starts at roughly 2,636 feet and climbs to a high point of 2,649 feet before returning, making it a true out-and-back with a steep section around 0.6 miles in. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Apache Junction show March highs around 77°F and November highs around 76°F, while summer highs climb into the mid-100s. Goat Trail sits just 0.1 mile away, and Cactus Garden Trail and Red Mountain Rush are both within a mile for hikers. For an overnight stay, Larry Forbis campground is about 5 miles off.
