Lunar Tide is an easy out-and-back hike of about 2.4 miles in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is natural-surfaced and not accessible. The route starts at about 7,984 feet and climbs to about 8,278 feet, a gain of roughly 290 feet one way. The most comfortable months are typically May and September, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run around 71°F and 76°F, with fewer wet days than the summer months. That station sits about 900 feet lower, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Swell is a hike just 0.1 mile away, and the Schultz Loop Trail and Rusty Pipe mountain biking routes are within half a mile. Climbers can find Left Wall about 1.2 miles off.
