Schultz Creek Trail is a hard hike of about 12.4 miles in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The out-and-back route rises from a low point of about 7,147 feet to a high of roughly 8,065 feet, with a total elevation gain of about 204 feet. The trail is open to both bikes and horses, which makes it a good choice for riders and pack animals heading out together. The nearest town is Flagstaff, a few miles away. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the Ft Valley weather station, about 6 miles away, show May highs near 71°F and October highs near 66°F, while July and August bring more frequent wet days. Broadside lies just 0.1 mile away, and the Tonteel and Rusty Pipe mountain biking trails are each about 0.3 mile off. Climbers can head to the Left Wall area, about 1.1 miles away.
