Juniper Ridge Trail is a hard out-and-back hike of about 25.5 miles in the Lakeside Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona. It rises about 600 feet from a low point of 6,377 feet to a high of 7,003 feet, and the Forest Service manages the land. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Show Low put May highs around 74°F and October highs around 68°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 12 to 14 a month. The trailhead parking is labeled JUNIPER RIDGE #2. Lewis Canyon campground and the Juniper Ridge Shortcut both sit about a mile away, and Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area Campground is roughly 10 miles off.
