Davis Spring is a 12-mile out-and-back hike in Arizona's Coronado National Forest, on the Santa Catalina Ranger District. The route rises from 3,926 feet to 7,109 feet, a gain of 282 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail's natural surface allows both horses and bikes. For timing, the most comfortable stretch is late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at a similar elevation put May highs around 71°F and October highs near 68°F, with lows in the 40s. Winter brings highs around 50°F and lows near freezing. The trail sits among several other destinations. The Butterfly mountain biking area and the Trundle Pinnacle climbing area are each within half a mile, and the Bigelow Trail #520 and the Palisades Ranger Residence Cabin are about a mile away.
