Courthouse Butte Loop #135 is an easy out-and-back hike of about 4.7 miles in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest, Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises about 50 feet from a low point of roughly 4,250 feet to a high of about 4,470 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 79°F, while July averages climb to about 97°F. The route is rated easy, and horses are allowed. Bikes are not. The trail sits close to other options: the Baby Bell Spur hike and the Bell Rock Pathway mountain biking route are each about 0.1 mile away, and the Bell Rock / Courthouse Butte climbing area is about 0.4 mile off. For an overnight stay, Chavez Crossing campground is about 2.8 miles away.
