Buena Vista Trail Loop 2 is a 20.7-mile out-and-back hike in the Lakeside Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises about 264 feet from a low point of 6,522 feet to a high of 6,821 feet, and it is rated hard. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically May and September, when typical averages from the Show Low airport weather station, about 6 miles away, run to highs of 74°F and 78°F. July and August bring the most wet days, around 12 to 14 a month. Horses are allowed on the trail. Loop 1 of the Buena Vista Trail is about 0.1 mile away, and the Buena Vista Trail for mountain biking is the same distance. Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area Campground is about 5 miles off, and Scott Reservoir is about 7 miles away.
