Riverside Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Cave Creek Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona. It sits on land managed by the Forest Service, and the nearest town is Fountain Hills, about 15 miles away. The site is a simple base for overnight stays. Vault toilets are the only listed amenity, and a fee is charged for use. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Fountain Hills weather station show March highs around 74°F and November highs around 74°F, while June and July average in the low to mid 100s. Several other spots lie within a short drive. The Jojoba and Palo Verde hikes are both under 3 miles away, and the Box Bar and Bartlett Flat campgrounds are each about 5 miles off.
