Cholla Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Tonto Basin Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona, about a tenth of a mile from the Cholla Campground site. The two are so close that they are often treated as one, and the Forest Service manages the land. The site has flush toilets, and a fee is charged for stays. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show March highs around 73°F and October highs around 85°F, while July averages climb to about 103°F. Other campgrounds sit within a mile and a half, including Cholla Bay and Bermuda Flat Shoreline Area. For time on foot, the Lost Goldmine hike is about 4.5 miles away, and Indian Point offers lake fishing roughly 6.6 miles off.
