Upper Bozeman Road is an easy out-and-back hike in northern Alabama, about 0.1 mile from the town of Clearview. The route is roughly 3.8 miles long, with a total climb of about 250 feet from the starting point at around 421 feet to the high point at about 467 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.67 miles in, with a grade of about 5 percent. The trail is short enough to fit into a half day, and the estimated time is about 1.5 hours. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Highland Home show October highs around 79°F with lows near 54°F, and April is similar at 78°F by day and 52°F at night. Summer runs hotter, with July and August highs typically around 91°F. Two other drives make good extensions.
