North Mt Olive Road is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Alabama, about half a mile from the town of Bethlehem. The route is roughly 1.1 miles long, with a total elevation gain of about 107 feet, and it reaches a high point of 465 feet. The climb is mostly flat, with the steepest stretch at about 0.4 miles in, where the grade reaches about 7 percent. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 78°F and October highs around 79°F, while July and August average about 91°F. The trip takes about half an hour. Butler Mill Road is about a mile away, and Upper Bozeman Road is about 1.7 miles off. Paddlers can head to Pintlala Creek or Pinchony Creek, both about 8 miles away.
