Knotty Pine Mountain Bike Trail is an easy, out-and-back hike in Alabama, set within Little River Canyon National Preserve and DeSoto State Park. The trail is about 2 miles long and rises roughly 200 feet from its start, with the high point at 1,733 feet and the low at 1,655 feet. The climb is gentle, with the steepest section coming at about 0.16 miles from the start. Bikes are allowed. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Valley Head show October highs around 72°F with lows near 48°F, and April runs similarly mild at about 70°F.
