Bostick Trail is a 1.37-mile hike in northern Alabama, about 0.3 miles from the town of Cedar Valley. It is an out-and-back route that climbs to a high point of 1,212 feet from a starting elevation of 1,055 feet, with a total gain of 473 feet over the round trip. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.8 miles in, where the grade reaches 28 percent. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Huntsville show October highs around 76°F with lows near 52°F, and April highs around 75°F. That station sits roughly 600 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the trail run cooler.
