About Aspen Snowmass

Aspen Snowmass stands as one of North America's premier ski destinations, encompassing four interconnected mountains with 5,532 acres of skiable terrain and a massive 4,436-foot vertical drop. The resort serves an exceptionally diverse clientele, from complete beginners to expert skiers, with 98 total runs split across easy (13%), intermediate (59%), advanced (27%), and expert (1%) terrain. The lift infrastructure—including 12 chairlifts, 2 gondolas, 3 platter lifts, 1 T-bar, and 1 funicular—efficiently accesses terrain ranging from 8,128 feet at the base to 12,564 feet at the summit, with excellent snowmaking coverage on select runs. Beyond the groomed runs, the resort provides access to vast backcountry terrain through the Maroon Bells–Snowmass Wilderness and connects to the renowned 10th Mountain Division Hut System for multi-day ski touring adventures. Aspen's high-altitude location at the confluence of four mountains ensures long-lasting snow conditions and reliable skiing from November through April, while summer mountain biking, hiking, and alpine climbing draw recreationalists during warmer months.
