About Ruby Hill

Ruby Hill is a ghost town in Eureka County, roughly 2.6 miles west of the town of Eureka in central Nevada. The community once supported multiple businesses, but by 1910 a washout had destroyed the Ruby Hill Railroad, and the town dwindled to just three businesses in its wake.

Visitors today will find the remnants of a once-active settlement set in the high desert landscape of central Nevada. As with most ghost towns in the region, expect scattered structural remains rather than a restored townsite, and plan for a self-guided, exploratory experience. Photography and sightseeing are the primary draws.
