About Old Roach

Tucked into the northwestern corner of Larimer County, Colorado, near the Wyoming border, Old Roach is a ghost town with a narrow slice of recorded history. It functioned as a company logging town for roughly fifteen years, from about 1923 to 1938, before being abandoned.

Visitors today will find a remote former townsite in a setting shaped by that logging-era past. Little documentation survives about what physical remains, if any, are still visible on the ground, so expectations should be kept modest — this is a destination for curious history enthusiasts comfortable with the reality that little may greet them beyond the landscape itself.
