Silesca Cabin

Silesca Guard Station is an original Forest Service ranger station that once housed work crews. This historic cabin is located on the Uncompahgre Plateau in a beautiful meadow surrounded by aspen and spruce/fir forests. The Uncompahgre Plateau itself is a long, narrow geologic uplift, bordered on the east by the wide valleys of the Gunnison and Uncompahgre Rivers and on the west by the narrow gorges of the Dolores and San Miguel Rivers. The Silesca Cabin is a great destination for a weekend getaway or a week-long hunting trip. This rustic facility will accommodate up to six guests. Electricity and non-potable water are available.
