Raquette Lake is one of the largest natural lakes in the Adirondacks and a classic destination for lake trout, northern pike, and smallmouth bass fishing. The lake's numerous bays, islands, and deep basins provide diverse habitat and year-round fishing opportunities. Ice fishing for lake trout and yellow perch is extremely popular in winter, with the lake typically freezing solidly by January.
