Power House Trail is a short, easy hike in the Blue Ridge Wilderness of New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. The route is about 1.5 miles long, with a low point of 1,764 feet and a high of 1,875 feet. The climb is gentle, with a one-way gain of about 54 feet, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.37 miles in. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 79°F with lows near 54°F, while winter brings highs in the 20s and regular snow days from December through February. Several other trails sit close by. Big Slope Trail is about 0.9 miles away, Cascades Trail about a mile, and Sagamore Lake Trail about 1.3 miles. Raquette Lake, roughly 4 miles off, offers fishing.
