Pyramid Lake is world-renowned for its trophy Lahontan cutthroat trout, with fish regularly exceeding 10 pounds. The Sutcliffe area provides the primary public access point on this tribal fishery managed by the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe. Anglers wade from ladders or fish from shore using flies or lures in the highly alkaline, turquoise waters.
