North Santa Teresa Wilderness Area

North Santa Teresa Wilderness Area encompasses 5,807 acres of federally protected backcountry in Arizona, managed by the Bureau of Land Management as a primitive, non-motorized wilderness. The landscape offers quiet solitude for visitors willing to travel on foot, away from developed infrastructure and mechanical travel.

Hiking and backpacking are the primary ways to experience this wilderness. There are no roads or motorized access points within the area, and mechanized travel—including mountain bikes—is not permitted. Visitors should expect primitive conditions and come prepared for self-reliant travel.
